The problem this work addresses
Layered identities, participation across domains, and rights and responsibilities in interstellar civilization. Expanding identity does not mean abandoning one’s homeland; it extends “we” to a wider community of lives and civilizations. This edition retains the four-stage leap and identities layered rather than replaced. It redistinguishes legal, civilizational and participatory identity, removes automatic legal world or cosmic citizenship through private registration agreements, and removes exchanges of contribution value for basic rights, global resource rights or civilizational voting rights.
