This is not a relationship between an “old” and a “new” version
This work belongs to Crisis operations . AGI-COS has no single “latest version” covering every task. Different problems, stages, phases, and task-process states call for different professional tracks. A higher version number does not automatically invalidate capabilities that remain effective within another track.
Current applicability
Currently applicable professional track. Retains the full crisis lifecycle, priority for irreversible risks, independent audit, decisions by accountable real-world actors, and recovery learning.
Current boundaries
Historical triggers such as 48 hours and the number of people affected no longer apply by default. A crisis label must not automatically expand AGI's or any system's real-world sovereign powers.

- AGI-COS 1.1 — Before judging a crisis, establish perception, provenance, and declarations of what is unknown.
- Common Window Protocol — Check the baseline requirements for irreversibility, rollback, exit, and non-manipulation.
- Human-COS public explanation — Include direction, responsibility, and real-world actors in the assessment.
Versions may be combined, but permissions must not accumulate. Republication does not restore the current force of historical parameters, governance assumptions, or automatic triggers in the original texts. Conflicting mechanisms are isolated for reconstruction following the continuity audit.
