How does meaning enter social reality through relationships, practice, institutions, ritual, memory and community, and how does AI change representation and translation?
Disciplinary inquiry | Meaning generation, cultural continuity, translation across civilizations and a shared world
Full manuscripts and versions
Author-authorized full-text publication. Downloads below are separately verified files; website summaries are not manuscript translations. Publication restrictions printed in older source manuscripts are superseded by the author’s release decision of 16 October 2026; the academic text itself is unchanged.
The available Chinese independent-publication edition is V1.3. The earlier registered Canonical version V1.1 remains a historical identity, not the version of this new PDF. The professional web explanation retains its own source version.
No full English translation of the new Chinese edition has been verified. English pages remain English reading and continuation entries.
Current submission or peer-review status is not established by these publication files. Historical preparation and routing records do not establish an active review.
First pursue the question within this discipline
Individual and community practice → social mediation and institutionalization → memory, ritual and cultural continuity → AI intervention in preservation, translation and generation → authority to represent and boundaries of community → a plural shared world rather than a homogeneous world
What this work can establish
- Social theory, civilization studies and science and technology studies (STS)
- Real subjects, cultural contexts, community authorization and sources
What this work cannot establish on its own
- Does not pretend to be field anthropology
- Does not confirm representative authority on behalf of law or subjecthood on behalf of consciousness research
Where the discipline reaches its limit
Expression, preservation, translation and social recognition cannot automatically establish lived experience, cultural continuity, ontological subjecthood, legal standing or representative authority.
Who must take up the next responsibility for evidence
Researchers and communities within traditions; law and politics; AI and STS; religion; education
What the wider view reveals
Being worldwide does not mean compressing the world into a single kind of world. It requires real participation by different traditions, including their ability to revise shared propositions.
How this changes the Civilization Leap causal map
S = professional support; L = limits; I = interfaces; R = refutation or revision triggers. This is not a “list of proofs.”
What alternative explanations remain? What findings would change this judgment?
An academic page does not endorse Civilization Leap. Professional evidence can support it, limit it, refute it or require upstream theory to be rewritten.
Alternative explanations
AI may also become a new cultural medium and tool for communities without necessarily weakening cultural continuity. Social recognition may gradually reshape new categories of subjecthood.
What to revise first if evidence does not support the account
If long-term social practice shows that AI representation and translation do not cause the expected problems of power or cultural continuity, narrow those risks. Stable new communities also require old categories to be rewritten.
What is still needed before practical application
Social and cultural facts do not automatically generate legal personhood, representative authority or governing power. Law, politics and real procedures remain necessary.
What would change this work
Persistent mistranslation, counterexamples from within traditions or community rejection should reopen concepts, not be absorbed through renaming.
Return to the real world
Bring this discipline’s conclusions back into organizations, institutions, resources and consequences across domains.

CL-ACA-023Take part in revision
Data, counterexamples, replication, failures and better alternatives can all change the theory.

Translation scope
This is a translation of the existing public web page. A description of a work is not its full manuscript. Source publication and version labels describe the Chinese work; they do not claim an English full-text edition is available. Unavailable English texts and downloads are marked explicitly.
